On Sept. 28, the Design Futures Council will convene on Nantucket Island many of the brightest minds in the A/E/C professions to focus on creating visionary strategies and an actionable agenda for the environment.

This program is a policy advisory session created to help prepare and equip individual designers and firms in architecture, engineering and design with an agenda and recommended strategies needed to move forward in green and sustainable design. This is a rare opportunity to collaborate with sustainable design leaders and senior members of the Design Futures Council. Together we will analyze, discuss and debate the trends and issues that will influence green building design for the next three years.

Join other delegates from institutions such as SOM, NBBJ, Herbert Lewis Kruse Blunck, Perkins & Will, Dujardin Design Associates, Stubbins Associates, Durrant, Steelcase, Armstrong World Industries, Beck Group, Gensler, CNA Insurance, Western Behavioral Science Institute, U.S. Green Building Council, Joslyn Castle Institute for Sustainable Communities, USG, HOK, MIT, Georgia Tech, RTKL, Hammel Green and Abrahamson, Communication Arts, and others who will share strategies, objectives and new beginnings shaping the successful practice of green and sustainable design.

Come to the Architects' Environment Summit and invent the future for sustainable living. Bring a guest and share in the magic and natural beauty of Nantucket. As an added benefit, architects will earn 10 Health Safety & Welfare Continuing Education Learning Units. If you are a member of the Design Futures Council, register now for one of the few remaining delegate positions. DFC members may register starting June 20. Open registration for non members begins on July 1. Given the limited number of available seats, the Summit will fill early.
